OVERVIEW & OBJECTIVES
This course is designed to help learners develop positive working relationships with customers in a health and social care setting, using effective communication. The course will use a blended approach consisting of 2 taught days and a distance learning workbook.
- Understanding customer expectations in health and social care settings
- How to identify the types of customers who interact with health and social care services
- Different communication methods used in health and social care settings
- How to provide a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment for diverse needs
COST & FUNDING
This course is free to people aged 19 or over and is funded by the Adult Skills Budget. Students must commit to complete workbooks. Please note that a charge of £125 will be necessary if students fail to submit their workbook and complete the course.
Learners must be resident in England, be 19 years old at the start of the academic year, (September 2018), and must not already be enrolled on any other government funded course, ie apprenticeships.
Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided.
By Car: There is free parking on site, once in Uttoxeter, please follow the brown signs for the Strawberry Garden Centre
By Bus: The nearest bus stop is located directly outside the centre car park on the Bramshall Road.
