Growing edibles with hydroponics
4 May @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm£6
Explore growing vegetables and plants quickly and easily through Hydroponics.
Hydroponic gardening is growing veg 365 days a year with:
- No digging or weeding
- No slugs or snails
- No soil
- It waters itself, using 80% less water than a conventional garden
- And takes up less space as it is vertical.
Come and see a HydroVeg Kit for yourself, and see how quickly and easily you can grow all year round.
Sue Tonks invented and builds HydroVeg Kits® for homes and schools. She will talk about the history of Hydroponic growing, it’s place in today’s garden and the future of hydroponics.
Sue created award winning HydroVeg Kits® in 2017 and has won widespread acclaim. Recently contacted and filmed for BBC Dragons Den – Sue’s bigger plans are to get the HydroVeg Kits® out to the developing world where they can feed families and schools.
Sue will bring her kits fully laden with seasonal veg. She will demonstrate the ease of planting and easy maintenance of hydroponic plants, together with hints and tips on growing veg and flowers and natural ways for dealing with garden pests.
Tea and coffee will be provided.
The workshop will run for approximately two hours. 10am – 12 Noon
