Living Green: Impact of Plastics – hosted by The Green Party
2 October @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pmFree
The media is currently filled with stories about how the plastic we use is harming the environment and adding to climate change. We are being made aware of a plastic pollution problem but not always how to deal with it at a local level.
So how does this affect our local area? Can we do anything to help? Are there any easy steps we can implement at home?
These are common questions that we are asked and this community presentation will help to answer some of those questions. It will show how plastics are affecting our local environment and some of the small, easy steps we can take to help reduce this. Essentially, it will give a basic overview to help you make informed decisions as a consumer and as a household. It will also highlight some of the local work by event hosts, The Green Party, who are actively working to reduce the impact of climate change, you will find out how to get further involved in their projects and wider projects in the area.
