Make your own denim jean bag
18 May @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm£12
Every year an estimated 300,000 tonnes of used clothing goes to landfill in the UK. This workshop will show you how to avoid sending your broken jeans to landfill by upcycling them into a new stylish jean tote bag.
This practical group session will provide the techniques and equipment to help you upcycle those old demins into a new bag all from one pair of jeans, led by The Couture Seamstress, Sarah Harbour. You will finish the session with a lovely new bag to take home as well as the skills to turn old pairs of jeans or trousers into a tote bag.
Remember to bring your old jeans on the day (or if you haven’t got any, pop to Uttoxeter Cares Charity Shop and pick up a pair for a small donation). All equipment is provided.
Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided.
The session will run for approximately two hours. 10am – 1pm
