About the opportunity

Globe run a series of educational courses and community events throughout the year on-site at the Globe Eco Centre, as well as at other local locations. We need a volunteer to help with day to day administration for bookings and helping to signpost visitors.

Support may also involve hosting stands at events, welcoming guests and preparing for events, including marketing and social media support.

In return we can provide training and support to learn new skills within marketing and event management, as well as opportunities to take part in some of the workshops and craft sessions.

We are a not-for-profit organisation, promoting horticultural and environmental best practise at our Eco Centre.

Delivering horticultural and sustainable projects, we provide education, awareness and action to create a better well-being and ecological environment for all.

• IT skills including Microsoft Word and Excel
• Excellent organisational skills
• Able to use their own initiative, be resourceful and economical

Practical Considerations

• Volunteers will be cleared through the Disclosure & Barring Service (formerly CRB) where this applicable
• Volunteers may come into contact with young people and vulnerable adults.
• Volunteers will be invited to take part in relevant induction and training and participate in two-way communication
• Additional training will be provided, where this is required
• Reasonable expenses covered (e.g. refreshments).
