Silent Auction Terms and Conditions

This fundraising auction is being run by The Globe Group CIC T/A The Globe Foundation, referred to below as Globe. By placing a bid on an item, each bidder agrees to these auction rules:

  1. The auction will run from 21.30 on Saturday 30th June 2018 to 21.30 on Friday 20th July 2018. Bids can be placed online or at our Litterbug Bash fundraising event at Bear Coffee on 20th July.
  2. The maximum bid will be deemed the winner of that Lot, all decisions made by Globe, will be final.
  3. By placing a bid you are entering into an agreement to purchase the item at the offered price. Should bids be made of the same value, only the first bid of that value will be deemed valid.
  4. The highest bid will be deemed to be the winner. In the extreme case of where an entry has been submitted in error, please contact us for the retraction of your bid prior to the end of the auction. If this occurs we reserve the right to offer the item to the second highest bidder.
  5. All sales are final. There will be no exchanges or refunds. All items are “as is.” Globe has attempted to describe the items correctly, but neither warrants nor represents and in no event shall be responsible for the correctness of descriptions, genuineness, or condition of the items.
  6. All items have been kindly provided by Out Of The Box Experiences and as such any respective terms and conditions are applicable.
  7. Payment for items purchased must be made in full to The Globe Group CIC by 27th July 2018. Globe accepts cash, bank transfer, PayPal or cheque (subject to cleared funds).
  8. Following receipt of payments, the winner will be sent a voucher via email and will be contacted by Out Of The Box Experiences to arrange delivery of an items / confirm a booking for an experience.
  9. All items will be sold only above the minimum asking bid and proceeds will go towards The Litterbug Project.
  10. Globe reserves the right to add or withdraw items, without notice, to or from the auction.
  11. Globe, their elected and appointed officials, members and employees, sponsors, and/or volunteers connected with the auction cannot hold any responsibility or liability from any risks or hazards related to the items won at the auction.
  12. Only bids received online via our website, in increments of £5, or at the Litterbugs Bash in person on 20th July, will be deemed to be valid.
